About this index
The International Bartenders Association keeps an official list of cocktails used in bartending competitions worldwide. Jigger puts all 102 of them in one place you can search, filter and cook from.
The three categories
IBA: The Unforgettables. The classics every bartender is expected to know by heart: Martini, Manhattan, Negroni, Daiquiri and the rest of the pre-war canon.
IBA: Contemporary Classics. Drinks that became bar standards through the 20th century, from the Bellini and the Mai Tai to the Cosmopolitan and the Mojito.
IBA: New Era Drinks. Recent additions to the IBA list: modern bartender creations like the Penicillin and the Paper Plane, alongside regional classics such as the Canchanchara and the Fernandito.
Where the recipes come from
Ingredients, measures, methods and garnishes follow the specs published on iba-world.com, last checked on 22 October 2026. Where the source text had obvious typos we fixed the spelling, never the recipe. Popularity is based on page views of each recipe on the IBA site.
How strength is estimated
Each ingredient carries a typical alcohol content. We add up the alcohol, then allow for the water that ice adds: shaken and stirred drinks use dilution figures measured by Dave Arnold in Liquid Intelligence, built drinks take on about half as much, and blended drinks more. Brands vary, so treat every figure as an estimate. A standard drink here means 14 g of pure alcohol, the US definition.
Share your bar as a cocktail menu
Having friends over, or running a small bar, a party or a pop-up? Fill in My bar and choose Share as a menu. You get a link to a simple digital cocktail menu of everything you can make with what you have: a photo of each drink, what’s in it, how it tastes and how strong it is. Guests pick one and ask for it by name.
The menu opens in any browser, on a phone or a computer, with no app to install and nothing to sign up for. It shows no recipes and no prices. Send the link in a chat or turn it into a QR code for the table, and if your bar changes, share a fresh link.
Your data
My bar, saved cocktails, your unit choice and theme are stored in your browser, only if you allow it, and never leave your device. A shared bar or menu link carries its list of ingredients inside the link itself, and the menu page stores nothing on your guests’ devices. There are no accounts, ads or trackers. Details are in Privacy and cookies.

Every glass is drawn from the recipe itself: the liquid colour is mixed from the ingredients, and the glass, ice and garnish follow the IBA method.
