# Pina Colada

> Pina Colada, the IBA official recipe: 50 ml white rum, 30 ml coconut cream and 50 ml pineapple juice. Blended and served frozen in a hurricane glass, garnished with a slice of pineapple with a cocktail cherry.

Rum, coconut cream and pineapple blended smooth. Puerto Rico’s national drink.

## Ingredients

Amounts are for one drink. Ounces use 30 ml to the ounce.

- 30 ml (1 oz) [Coconut cream](https://jigger-5rd.pages.dev/ingredients/coconut-cream/)
- 50 ml (1⅔ oz) [Pineapple juice](https://jigger-5rd.pages.dev/ingredients/pineapple/index.md)

## Method

1. Blend all the ingredients with ice in an electric blender, pour into a large glass and serve with straws.

## Garnish

A slice of pineapple with a cocktail cherry.

## Notes

Historically a few drops of fresh lime juice was added to taste. 4 slices of fresh pineapple can be used instead of juice
