# Mojito

> Mojito, the IBA official recipe: 45 ml white rum, 20 ml lime juice, 6 mint sprigs, 2 tsp sugar and soda water to top. Built in the glass and served long over ice, garnished with sprigs of mint and slice of lime.

Rum, lime, sugar, mint and soda. Havana’s highball and one of the most refreshing drinks on the list.

## Ingredients

Amounts are for one drink. Ounces use 30 ml to the ounce.

- 20 ml (⅔ oz) [Lime juice](https://jigger-5rd.pages.dev/ingredients/lime/index.md)

- 2 tsp [Sugar](https://jigger-5rd.pages.dev/ingredients/simple-syrup/index.md) (or 15 ml (½ oz) simple syrup)
- Top up [Soda water](https://jigger-5rd.pages.dev/ingredients/soda-water/index.md)

## Method

1. Mix mint sprigs with sugar and lime juice.
2. Add splash of soda water and fill the glass with ice.
3. Pour the rum and top with soda water.
4. Light stir to involve all ingredients.

## Garnish

Sprigs of mint and slice of lime.
