# Daiquiri

> Daiquiri, the IBA official recipe: 60 ml white rum, 20 ml lime juice and 2 bar spoons sugar. Shaken and served up in a chilled cocktail glass.

White rum, lime and sugar, nothing else. The purest test of a bartender’s balance, from Cuba around 1900.

## Ingredients

Amounts are for one drink. Ounces use 30 ml to the ounce.

- 20 ml (⅔ oz) [Lime juice](https://jigger-5rd.pages.dev/ingredients/lime/index.md)
- 2 bar spoons [Sugar](https://jigger-5rd.pages.dev/ingredients/simple-syrup/index.md) (or 10 ml (⅓ oz) simple syrup)

## Method

1. In a cocktail shaker add all ingredients.
2. Stir well to dissolve the sugar.
3. Add ice and shake.
4. Strain into chilled cocktail glass.

## Garnish

None. IBA serves it without a garnish.
